The Murder of Roger Ackroyd is set in the tiny English village of Kings Abbot where gossip is the local currency. When the wealthiest man in town, Roger Ackroyd, is found dead shortly after his fiancé, Mrs. Ferrars', suicide the village explodes with rumor and speculation.
