The Murder of Roger Ackroyd is set in the tiny English village of Kings Abbot where gossip is the local currency. When the wealthiest man in town, Roger Ackroyd, is found dead shortly after his fiancé, Mrs. Ferrars', suicide the village explodes with rumor and speculation. The local police inspector is quick to place the blame, but the village has a new resident - world famous detective Hercule Poirot - who is not satisfied with the inspectors assessment.
